Matthew 25:40

KJV- 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Outreach

On the first and the third Mondays of each month we tie baby quilts to donate to the local Children Hospitals. The first Monday of the month is 'Ties That Bind' night. On this evening we quilt as usual and add in a Bible based discussion. These 'Ties That Bind' help us to create lasting ties with Christ.

On the first Sunday of each month we encourage members of the congregation to bring items to donate to the Davis County Food Bank.

Spiritual Ministries

Prayer Team

"...I (Jesus) say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:19, 20).

If you have a prayer need, please contact the office and they will contact a member of the Prayer Team.

We will be learning different ways to pray and praise by practicing them in the meetings. Visitors are welcome. You will need your Bible and a notebook. We look forward to seeing you in the fall.

Healing Team

Scripture Reference: "The Spirit of the Lord has been given to me for He has anointed me; He has sent me to bring the good news to the poor, to heal the broken hearted, give sight to the blind, and freedom to the down-trodden." Luke 4:18

Healing is simply the practical application of the basic Christian message of salvation. A belief that Jesus means to free us from personal sin and from emotional and physical sickness. The Grace Lutheran Healing Team meets twice a month to pray, worship and study God's word. Our healing ministry is modeled after the teachings and ministry of Francis and Judith MacNutt of Christian Healing Ministries and John Winker, Pastor and Founder of Vineyard Christian Fellowship.

Our ministry focuses on:

1) Spiritual healing/forgiveness of sin. 2) Inner-healing, healing of memories, life experiences, personality and temperament. 3) Physical healing from disease, illness or accidents.

Jesus proclaimed His purpose and desire for all mankind in John 10:10: "My purpose is to give life in all its fullness."

We believe and trust in His promises!

'Ties That Bind'

The first Monday of each month there is a Scripture based discussion while we tie the quilts for the Children's Hospitals. The scripture is posted in the Grace Vine at the first of each month. We use this time to strengthen our ties to God. (Men are always welcome to come to the quilting sessions.)

WELCA

Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loveth at all times" (KJV) WELCA (Women of the ELCA): Meets twice a year for food, fellowship and fun: a Spring Luncheon (usually in May), and a Christmas Party. Many of the WELCA participate in the "Secret Sister" program, where they are assigned another WELCA member to secretly encourage with cards and small gifts during the year. Secret Sisters are revealed at the Christmas party, and it's always a surprise blessing!
