Grace Lutheran offers a Youth Group for teenage youth. They usually
meet twice a month, once for an activity and once for a service project.
Our youth also participate with The WAY (Wasatch Area Youth). The Way is a
group for young people of several Christian denominations in the Davis
County area. The churches currently involved in helping to support
The Way are: Abundant Life, Bountiful Community Church,
Cross of Christ, Episcopal Church of the Resurrection,
First American Baptist, First Southern Baptist, Grace Baptist,
Grace Lutheran, St. Olaf's, and Westminster Presbyterian.
The WAY subscribes to the Apostle's Creed as our statement of faith.
We recognize that Christians have far more important foundational
beliefs in common than the traditions that tend to separate us. We
have, therefore, committed to working together, with mutual respect
for those differences of tradition, in fulfilling the following purpose:
To encourage the spiritual growth of area Christian youth to gather
in fellowship, mirroring Christ's love, through worship, prayer,
service, and friendship; and to lead by example, and to light The Way.
As you may have guessed, our name was chosen based upon John 14:16:
"I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father, but
through Me." Also, as recorded in Acts, throughout the early history
of the fledgling movement that would become Christianity, the movement
was called "The Way." Act 9: 1-9; 19:9, 23; and 24:14, 22.
The WAY is designed to help the youth grow spiritually and to have
fellowship with other Christian Youth. For more information about
the Grace Lutheran Youth Group or The WAY please contact the church.
